The American Veterans Traveling Tribute came to Clinton County as part of the 10th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States and the area’s Hometown Hero veteran’s celebration.

In his remarks during opening ceremonies, Senator Wozniak told a large gathering, “If this Wall doesn’t move you, you don’t belong in the United States. With this Wall, we pay homage to those who gave their lives. One small but powerful gesture we can do for them is, on our nation’s holidays, fly the flag so those who have fallen can look down on us and know that we’ll never forget.”

Senator John Wozniak (right side) and Rep. Mike Hanna lay down a yellow rose of remembrance in front of the traveling Wall, a replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial and one of several displays featured as part of the Tribute.

Standing in front of the Wall, from left, are: Lock Haven Mayor Rick Vilello, State Rep. Mike Hanna, Civil War author and guest speaker Jeffrey Wert, Senator Wozniak and Clinton County Commissioner Joel Long.
