Harrisburg, Oct. 15, 2015 State Sen. John N. Wozniak (D-Cambria/Clearfield/Bedford) will be hosting another Walk with Wozniak initiative; this time in Patton Borough on Friday, Oct. 16, beginning at 1 p.m.
We have had success with the walks because they allow local officials and residents to explain problems and issues in detail, Wozniak said. I am pleased that this program has been useful for local officials and residents.
Anyone interested in participating in the Walk with Wozniak can join the senator at 1 p.m at the Patton Borough Office, 800 4th Avenue.
I look forward to officials and residents joining me for the walk and I encourage all to open up about problems and issues that I may be able to address, Wozniak said.
As hes walking through Patton, Wozniak said his district staff will be available from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Pattons council chambers.
The lawmaker said his staff can help residents with state applications, including property tax and rent rebates, heating assistance, PACE and PACENET or unravel state bureaucracy. He said the mobile district office hours are an alternative for residents who may need help but do not want to participate in the Walk with Wozniak.
The Walk with Wozniak program, combined with the mobile district offices, have been an effective way for making services and programs more accessible, the senator said.
