WOZNIAK ANNOUNCES OVER $200K STATE FUNDING

HARRISBURG, February 1, 2008 - -
State Sen. John Wozniak (D-Johnstown) today announced that he secured $218,770 in state funding for the Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission.

The loans are part of the Commonwealth Finance Authority’s (CFA) Small Business First/ First Industries Agricultural Program.

“I am very pleased that the state has dedicated funds to improving agriculture in our area,” Wozniak said. “These farms have always been great contributors to our district, and these state funds will help them expand and improve already established farmland.”

A loan of $200,000 was awarded to T&E Farms, LLC for the purchase of 128 acres of farmland on Cunningham Road in Ebensburg, Cambria County. The primary business of T&E Farms is the operation of a sheep and crop farm.

Farabaugh Farms was awarded an $18,770 loan to expand and renovate the farm’s potato storage facility. The primary business of Farabaugh Farms, located in Ebensburg, Cambria County, is the operation of a crop farm.

The Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) was established as an independent agency of the Commonwealth to administer Pennsylvania's economic stimulus packages.
