CLEARFIELD GETS HELP FOR WATER LINES HARRISBURG, Feb. 28, 2008 – Clearfield’s Municipal Authority will get some state help in providing clean water to local residents who have experienced polluted water supplies, Sen. John N. Wozniak announced today. Wozniak worked with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection to secure $77,000 for a project that will extend water lines along Goshen Road and replace 50 water supplies that were fouled by abandoned mines. “These residents lost their access to clean water through no fault of their own,” Wozniak said. “I’m pleased that we can steer state funds to help.” The project will replace about 15,500 linear feet of water line, according to the DEP, and will affect residents of Blaney Settlement Road, Jerry Run Road, and Brown’s Hollow Road. |
